Prior to start of the internal lining of the tanks application ambient temperature,metal temperature,relative humidity etc.should be checked and recorded.
The plural component airless spray pump,hoses,nozzles and all fittings shall be checked for its condition and compatibility to the coating system.
The inspection of tank internal lining,The compressed air cleanliness shall be checked for cleanliness (oil & water traces) prior to start of blasting ensure that equipment is good working condition.
Ensure surface preparation complied with client specification and manufacturer’s recommendation.Only after third party and client approval for surface preparation after that primer coat shall be applied.

The fiber glass lining shall be visually examined.The DFT check and 100% holiday test of the lining shall be checked prior to gel coat application.The test voltage shall be as per manufacturer’s recommendation.Final visual inspection shall be carried out for pinhole in gel coat and after irregularities and repair as per manufacturer’s recommendation.

The applied lined system shall be free from cracks,pinholes,shrinkage,scattered pockets and other defects.A layout diagram shall be prepared for the areas offered for inspection by the applicator and shall be duly signed by client inspector.
All testing and measuring equipment shall be with valid calibration and verified periodically while in use.
Adhesion test on the coated sample plate during the appication of the tank lining shall be carried out as per ASTM D4541 Potable adhesion tester.The same shall be carried out on a separate plate after immersing the sample plate in water (60°C) for 24 hours.
The Contractor shall have a technical representative from the lining manufacture,who should be present to assist and witness the application of each coating system without any additional cost and time impact to company.
All inspection shall be carried out as per work proceedure,inspection test plan and manufacturer’s recommendations.
